Change of Address

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Tomorrow morning Ideal Science will be relocating to a loft in downtown Austin.  Our phone number and fax will remain the same but our address will now be:

201 E. 5th St.
Suite 104
Austin, TX 78701

Hopefully we are settled quickly and I will post pics of the new place by the end of the week.  Thank you for your patience with the move and just a reminder, the phone lines will most likely be down tomorrow, March 28, 2007.  We will still be available by email.

Bungie Studios, a division of Microsoft, launched a new version of their web site that contains a revamped version of their forums which is powered by Ideal BB.NET.  Their forums have over 10 million posts spread across 12 public forums.  There are also private forums on about 450,000 boards, one for each fan club.

The revamped forums have a new look and several new features.  Members are already raving about them saying that they are cleaner, run faster, and are more user friendly.

The new forums can be seen here.

Web servers moved to NYC.

Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

We moved our servers to NYC this week as part of our upgrade to a new data center.  The move is part of our plan to increase the capacity of our hosting & services business.  This business has been rapidly expanding with new customers signing on to have us host and manage their forums.

There could be some minor glitches in our web site as a site effect of the move.  We’ve managed to iron out most issues, but if you have any problems, please contact us so that we can remedy the issues.

For more information about our co-location center please see the Telehouse America web site.

Licensing issue with Windows 2003 & Vista

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

We have several customers that are having a licensing issue when using Windows 2003 in a web farm senario and customers who might be testing our software on Windows Vista.  The issue is a security one that requires that you register the xheo.licensing.dll with the Windows GAL.  Once you do this, licensing should work fine.  This issue only affects Ideal BB.NET.

If you are experiencing this issue and continue to have problems, please contact us.
